National Animal Disease Reporting System(NADRS)

National Animal Disease Reporting System(NADRS) involves a computerized network, integrating both MIS and GIS, which would link each block, district and the State / UT headquarters in the country to the Central Disease Reporting & Monitoring Unit (CDRMU) in the DADF at New Delhi with the objective to monitor 143 animal diseases through 7000 locations at sub-district level in the country.
Udupi is having three NADRS nodes in the district and vpn was established at the nodes to connect to NADRS server.
Objectives of NADRS
  • Improve operational efficiency of the Department.
  • Provide instant alerts to all concerned about Animal Disease Outbreaks, Remedial measures, etc.
  • Prevent revenue losses by better management of Animal Health.
  • Disseminate information related to animal diseases to all stakeholders in a timely and efficient manner.
  • To reduce workload under the manual system thereby increasing efficiency with effective use of ICT.
  • To improve the quality of the information generated by district level offices.
