Karnataka Food and Civil Supplies Corporation Limited is a Government of Karnataka undertaking established under the Companies Act on September 7th 1973 with the primary objective of procurement, lifting and distributing food grains under the Public Distribution System (PDS) aid implementing various other schemes of the government. Karnataka Food and Civil Supplies Corporation Limited, plays its role as a market stabilizer by purchasing paddy and other coarse grains from the growers under the Minimum Support Price Operations (MSP). To provide Common Man's Needs at Affordable Prices (COMNAP) KFCSC has been selling edible oil, spices and other articles of daily consumption through its Retail Outlets. KFCSC has branched out in to areas like Petrol, Diesel and LPG outlets and has entered in to tie-up arrangements with Indian Oil Corporation, Bharat Petroleum and Hindustan Petroleum. The area of operation of KFCSC has thus been expanding ever since its inception and it has thus been fulfilling a major social obligation.
